WELCOME
My Dear ABWA Friends,
As my year as your National Secretary Treasurer winds to an end I am feeling truly blessed, and grateful to all of you that have supported me throughout the year. I thank you for asking me to visit your groups and allowing me to help you strengthen and grow.
I commend you all for your participation and contributions that you have made to your chapter or network and this association. It has been such a rewarding experience to see you adopt Best Practices and “WIN” and embrace the changes that we are making to ensure the future of our association. I am anxiously waiting to cheer your groups across the stage in Kansas City as you receive your Best Practice awards.
I thank you for making this past year a great experience for your fellow members. This positive ABWA experience will extend to potential members as they visit your meetings, and will contribute to the growth of your group.
Over this past two years, I have met many ABWA members I can now add to those I already called friends. And I have gained knowledge that will contribute to the growth of our Association as well as my new venture, Abacus Realty. It’s such a wonderful experience, to see the goals of the past few years become reality.
I applaud all of you, who will be taking time from your busy, busy schedules to attend ABWA’s National Women’s Leadership Conference, and invest in your futures. Phenomenal speakers and presenters will be bringing you excitement like you have never seen! You will not want to miss this unique and rewarding experience.
Your full registration to conference offers you the opportunity to elect the women that will lead ABWA for the next year. This is an important decision, and I encourage you to make an informed choice. Please visit my Personal Info page to review my profile. There, I share with you my past experiences, in ABWA and in my professional life. I ask that you allow me to continue to share my leadership expertise to help build the future of ABWA, as your next National President.
As I have gotten to know you the past few years, I have found that we all have common goals. We love our families, work hard to build successful careers and care deeply for ABWA. Many of you assume leadership roles, or mentor others, to ensure the future of your local group and this association. It’s because of you that we will continue to contribute to the personal and professional growth of our members for another 60 years.
I look forward to seeing you in Kansas City!
In ABWA Friendship,
Deb Horrocks
